Services
Belinda has extensive training in a range of intervention models. This enables her to work in a client focused way, selecting from her toolbox the intervention most suited to each individual client.
Models of therapy frequently used: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused, Interactive Drawing Therapy, Expressive Therapies, and Play Therapy.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy gets its name from two core aims:

Helping people to accept what is out of their personal control, and
-
Helping people to commit to actions that enrich their lives, and are consistent with their values.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a cognitive behavioural therapy (or CBT) that teaches people psychological skills to handle distressing thoughts and feelings more effectively so that they have less influence on their lives. These are known as mindfulness and diffusion skills. ACT also helps people to clarify what’s truly important to them, and to use that knowledge to guide and motivate them to take action.

Fees
The standard fee for an individual consultation of 50 minutes is $199.
Clients may be eligible for rebates, starting from around $82.30 (this varies according to circumstances). The standard fee means there is an “out of pocket” gap between the rebate you may receive from Medicare and what you will be charged. Currently Teacher’s Health and Bupa provides rebates for Accredited Mental Health Social Workers.
Medicare rebates
To obtain a Medicare rebate you will require a referral from your GP, who will need to prepare a Mental Health Care (MHCP). This allows 6 plus 4 sessions under certain criteria.

Payment
Fees are payable in full at the time of session by electronic funds transfer (eft) or credit card.
Cancellation fee see below - will not be rebated by Medicare.
Cancellation Policy
My policy is to charge $100 for a missed session, if a client provides less than 24 hours notice, or simply does not show up.
If you are unable to attend at the appointed time, please let Belinda know with as much notice as possible.
